Description wagner17 2011-07-01 23:43:00 UTC
Description of problem:
"Remove Unavailable Files" does not actually remove unavailable files from the playlist. Version 2.4.5 was also used in Fedora 14 and bug is present there too. Prior to F14, I was using version 2.3.x on Mandriva 2010.2 and this feature worked. Checked Mandriva SRPM and nothing special was done to make this feature work. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/18991 seems to imply that this feature has previously been broken before and was fixed in version 2.3.x, but it appears to have once again been broken.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.4.5

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch audacious
2. switch to Winamp Classic Interface
3. Copy 2 music files to a folder
4. Add the files to the playlist
5. Delete one of the 2 files
6. enable Show Playlist Editor
7. In the Playlist Editor, click on the "- FILE" button, in the context menu select "Remove Unavailable Files"
8. The time will be blanked out for the file that was deleted but not removed from the playlist.

Actual results:
Unavailable files remain in the playlist.

Expected results:
Unavailable files are removed from the playlist.

2.3.x was horribly broken in several ways and therefore skipped by Fedora. Just look at how many patches have been necessary in the Fedora packages prior to the 2.4.x series.

You've already mentioned this works again in 2.5.2.
