Description Red Hat Case Diagnostics 2011-07-03 23:35:56 UTC
This description generated by Andreas from an ABRT report
architecture: x86_64
cmdline: /usr/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon
component: gnome-settings-daemon
executable: /usr/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon
kernel: 2.6.32-131.4.1.el6.x86_64
package: gnome-settings-daemon-2.28.2-11.el6
reason: Process /usr/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon was killed by signal 6 (SIGABRT)
release: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation release 6.1 (Santiago)
reproduce: I switched on the computer and chose "Software Update". Then the crash note appeared in the corner while Software Update went on as usual. I am not sure whether Software Update had anything to do with the problem.

Comment 9 Bastien Nocera 2011-12-15 16:32:37 UTC
If the problem can be reproduced, then launching gnome-settings-daemon by hand to reproduce the problem would be helpful. The gdk_x_error() print out has details on how to get a useful backtrace (eg. where the X error happens).

Here goes:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gtk+/tree/gdk/x11/gdkdisplay-x11.c#n2379

Comment 12 RHEL Program Management 2012-05-03 05:00:03 UTC
