Description Gerry Tool 2002-08-20 02:15:24 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020809

Description of problem:
I tell evolution to remember my password. It does so for a while, and then on
startup or when it is auto checking for mail, it redisplays the dialog for the
password.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.0.8

How reproducible:
Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start evolution and press Send/Receive
2.Enter password for account and check box to have password remembered
3.Recheck mail or exit and restart evolution.

Actual Results: Sometimes password is remembered for several executions.
Eventually, evolution will forget the password and request it again, either on
first request to send/receive, or on an auto mail check if interval checking is
enabled.

Expected Results: Evolution should remember the password forever.

Same problem here.

Comment 2 Jeremy Katz 2002-08-29 05:01:03 UTC
It's probably receieving some sort of error on the connection at some point,
which causes it to forget the password. If you run `CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG=1
evolution-mail` in a terminal and wait a few seconds for the components to be
able to register with oaf and then start evolution, do you get any output in the
terminal before your password is forgotten?
