Description Dmitri Pal 2011-07-06 15:28:33 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #711460 +++

Description of problem:

These options are not documented in mount.cifs' man page:

noexec (is in man mount)
nolock (is in man mount)
servernetbiosname
cifsacl
nodev
ignorecase
noposixpaths
prefixpath

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
samba3x-client-3.5.4-0.80.el5

Steps to Reproduce:
1. compare "mount.cifs --help" with "man mount.cifs"

Comment 2 Jeff Layton 2011-07-06 16:50:41 UTC
Very reasonable -- I'll see what's missing and look into getting it included. There's also an update needed to the wsize= option for 6.2. I'll close the bug for that as a duplicate of this and we'll fix them all at once...

Comment 3 Jeff Layton 2011-07-06 16:51:01 UTC
*** Bug 719308 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

Comment 4 Jian Li 2011-07-11 02:09:46 UTC
According to Dmitri's 'Description', set qa_ack+ .

Comment 5 Jeff Layton 2011-07-19 13:06:48 UTC
Patch pushed upstream and committed in cifs-utils-4.8.1-3.el6.

Comment 7 Jian Li 2011-08-11 06:54:10 UTC
Hi Jeff,
I check mount.cifs's manual of cifs-utils-4.8.1-3.el6, but 'prefixpath' is not found.

Comment 8 Jeff Layton 2011-08-11 11:28:39 UTC
That's (sort of) intentional. The prefixpath= option is really a "private" option that users aren't intended to use -- they should just append the prefixpath to the end of the sharename.

Comment 9 Jian Li 2011-08-12 04:29:28 UTC
Bug is check on cifs-utils-4.8.1-5, 'nodev' is in 'man mount' too.
