Description of problem: When I access a website that uses HTTPS with an untrusted key, the This Connection is Untrusted message is displayed, but I'm unable to add an exception. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Firefox 5.0 Package version from 'yum info': Version : 5.0 Release : 2.fc15 How reproducible: Visit an HTTPS site with an untrusted certificate. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit a HTTPS website with an untrusted SSL certificate (e.g. one using a self-signed key) 2. Click "I Understand the Risks" 3. Click "Add Exception..." Actual results: Nothing happens in response to the "Add Exception" button. Expected results: The "Add Exception" dialogue box should have opened. Additional info: It's possible to add an exception manually like so: Click File -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Security -> View Certificates -> Servers -> Add Exception... The URL of the server can then be pasted in and an exception added. Close all the dialogue boxes opened in the above process. Click the Reload button to load the page.
This works for me on three computers and I've seen it work for others using the Fedora 15 build, too. I expect that either: * You updated Firefox and haven't closed it and restarted it since. * You have an old copy of nss. Try again with nss-3.12.10-1.fc15
Thanks for that. I had automatic security updates enabled so it must have updated itself in the background while I was using it. I've just restarted Firefox a couple of times and it worked fine the second time. By the way I am on that version of nss. Cheers.
