Description Brad Buckingham 2011-07-11 16:17:18 UTC
Description of problem:

When a system is updated in the UI, the left panel is updated; however, the contents are not formatted correctly based on the latest page format displaying:

Name, Last Checkin, Created
Kernel
IP

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
master git checkout

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to : Systems -> Registered
2. select a system
3. updated the name of the system

Actual results:
left panel updated to show:

name, ip, kernel

Expected results:
left panel updated to show:

name, last checkin, created
kernel
ip

Comment 2 Sachin Ghai 2011-08-26 07:38:56 UTC
I registered a system with following katello build:

[root@dhcp201-167 ~]# rpm -qa | grep katello
katello-cli-0.1.5-1.git.15.654a7df.fc15.noarch
katello-0.1.70-1.git.7.ca8d03c.fc15.noarch

Latest page format is as per the expected result:

name, last checkin, created
kernel
ip

However the contents are not displayed under kernel and IP. I registered two systems and entry for kernel and IP is missing.

Please see the attachment ( missing_system_info.png)

can you retest this one based on comments 2 and 3. i tried this on latest git and looks ok. used system manager to register system with no activation keys and using admin with default org.

Comment 5 Shannon Hughes 2011-09-07 16:34:33 UTC
one note. i had to open bug 736384 due to an issue with registration automatically invoking the activation action when using no act keys. backend will be refactored but there is a temp fix that was put in today.

Working in katello-0.1.84-1.git.26.51fa1e1.fc14.noarch - updating the name changes only the name in the left panel.
