SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail from 'module_request' accesses on the system Unknown. ***** Plugin catchall_boolean (89.3 confidence) suggests ******************* If you want to allow all domains to have the kernel load modules Then you must tell SELinux about this by enabling the 'domain_kernel_load_modules' boolean. Do setsebool -P domain_kernel_load_modules 1 ***** Plugin catchall (11.6 confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that sendmail.sendmail should be allowed module_request access on the Unknown system by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep sendmail /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:sendmail_t:s0 Target Context system_u:system_r:kernel_t:s0 Target Objects Unknown [ system ] Source sendmail Source Path /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail Port <Неизвестно> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages sendmail-8.14.5-1.fc15 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.16-32.fc15 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.38.8-35.fc15.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jul 6 13:58:54 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 8 First Seen Сб. 16 июля 2011 15:52:34 Last Seen Вс. 17 июля 2011 11:05:54 Local ID 1ef90ef5-e36f-40f9-ae4c-b5ece708f3ab Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1310889954.816:27): avc: denied { module_request } for pid=1333 comm="sendmail" kmod="net-pf-10" scontext=system_u:system_r:sendmail_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:system_r:kernel_t:s0 tclass=system type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1310889954.816:27): arch=x86_64 syscall=socket success=no exit=EAFNOSUPPORT a0=a a1=1 a2=0 a3=7fffa25cb470 items=0 ppid=1332 pid=1333 auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=51 sgid=51 fsgid=51 tty=(none) ses=4294967295 comm=sendmail exe=/usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail subj=system_u:system_r:sendmail_t:s0 key=(null) Hash: sendmail,sendmail_t,kernel_t,system,module_request audit2allow #============= sendmail_t ============== #!!!! Did you disable ipv6? If so, how did you do this?
I made these changes in the system: echo "NETWORKING IPV6=no" >> /etc/systemconfig/network and then added in kernel boot parameter : ipv6.disable_ipv6=1 However, I can not reproduce this bug in the new version in my system: $ rpm -qa | grep selinux-policy selinux-policy-targeted-3.9.16-34.fc15.noarch selinux-policy-3.9.16-34.fc15.noarch
Eric would adding both those parameters prevent this AVC from happening?
