Created attachment 514071 [details] Patch to pass RSDP address Description of problem: kdump did not work on EFI-booted machine and this problem was fixed in 6.0 by using EFI physical-mode(bz593111). But physical-mode does not work on some firmwares, so instead of physical-mode, introduce "acpi_rsdp=" parameter to pass ACPI RSDP address so that 2nd kernel can boot without EFI. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-2.6.32-131.0.15.el6 How reproducible: always on some machines Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot system from EFI 2.Start kdump Actual results: Kdump does not wrok Expected results: Kdump works Additional info: bz681796 for kexec-tools
