Comment 2 Mark Proctor 2011-08-16 16:06:45 UTC
Mario is working on this. The issue has been identified with an unused feature in MVEL due to "static Enum.*" imports. The answer here is to disable the feature in MVEL, as we don't need it.

We hope to have this resolved with Mike Brock by end of this week.

Marked as note needed a release note as this appears to be between internal builds

Comment 4 lcarlon 2011-08-19 01:15:42 UTC
Sorry that should be:

Marked as Release Note not required as this issue appears to be between internal builds.

Comment 5 Fabian Lange 2011-09-19 17:58:29 UTC
Hi Guys,
great you found the reason why this is now happening and that this was not intended.

@Lee, I am not sure what you are referring to, but this caused a noticeable performance degradation (5.0 -> 5.1). So its not between internal builds, unless i misunderstood you.

You have a fix release for jboss rules planned? so i can verify.

Comment 6 Ryan Zhang 2011-09-20 06:43:47 UTC
Mario has commit some improvements on this which should update this issue.

I would pick this commit in next release. Please test it on the next release.

I mark this status into Modified but please notice that it is not included in ER4. It would be available in next release.

Comment 7 Lukáš Petrovický 2011-09-30 08:23:15 UTC
mvel has been updated to 2.1.Beta6, which resolves the mentioned issues.
