Description of problem:
HP Laserjet 1020, connected via USB, was discovered automatically after a clean installation of Fedora 15 and has been installed. Even though it was connected it never printed (Jobs filling up the Queue). All available Updates for Fedora 15 have been applied meanwhile with no effect. Reconnected the Printer to several USB Ports, Restart Machine/CUPs no effect. Reinstall of CUPS & HP Printer Drivers didnt help either, nor exchanging the USB Cable. Sometimes the Printer isn't even shown in the list of devices (system-config-printer).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Error is reproducible

Steps to Reproduce:

Re-Adding Printer -> OK
Sending Print Job -> Gets queued, no printing
Stopping CUPS, renaming printer.config and printer.config.O
Starting CUPS, Re-Adding Printer, sending Print Job -> no printing

Actual results:
Printer is not printing at all
Sometimes printer just disappears.

Expected results:

Your printer requires HP proprietary plugin to work with hplip.
Have you installed it ? You can do it with "hp-plugin".

Jiri, you are the Man! It works now...
I ran the hp-setup, and ...
yum install hplip-gui
got rid of the Printer in System-Config-Printer
Re-Installed the Printer with hp-lip and now it's working fine! :)
Thank you very much!
Hans
