Description Gideon Mayhak 2011-08-02 02:03:01 UTC
Description of problem:
When installing F16 Alpha TC1 over the network (pxeboot files booted with GRUB, pointed to a local HTTP mount of the install DVD), the install gives the following warning:

    http://gidux.dyndns.org:8080/f16-atc1-install-error.jpg

I am able to choose Continue, and it appears to be installing fine right now.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 16 Alpha TC1 install DVD

How reproducible:
Every time (tried twice, chose Continue the second time)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot into installer over network to HTTP mount of install DVD
2. Choose default Graphical Desktop option

Actual results:
Warning shown in above screenshot.

Expected results:
No missing dependencies in default package set.

Additional info:
I have not tried booting the install DVD, so I do not know if this is specific to the network install or not (doubtful).

Comment 1 Gideon Mayhak 2011-08-02 02:26:40 UTC
The installation ended up failing on an unrelated package (see: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=727388).

Comment 2 Chris Lumens 2011-08-02 12:45:34 UTC
Missing dependencies are almost always bug with the packages themselves, not anaconda. Please file bugs with those packages.
