Description of problem:

Currently handling of user prefernces and favorites is largely done in UI code. Other users of this need to 
re-implement (as coregui has already done wrt the exsiting portal-war).

Putting that in a UserStuffBean in the server allows for re-use in CLI, web services and so on.
