The cpupowerutils code was merged into the mainline kernel, and kernel-tools will now provide that functionality. We need to fixup the Obsoletes/Provides in the kernel-tools package and retire the cpupowerutils package I think.

As a workaround for now, remove it or don't install kernel-tools.

Comment 2 Josh Boyer 2011-08-18 14:34:58 UTC
Petr, for rawhide and f16 we've created the kernel-tools package which includes the newly merged cpupowerutils code. I can adjust the Obsolete/Provides on kernel-tools to allow it to replace cpupowerutils, but I wanted to make sure you have no issues with that.

Once that is done, the cpupowerutils package would need to be retired for f16 and rawhide.

I have no problem with that.

Do you plan to keep the systemd service file or are you going to drop this?

Ok. I'll fix it and start a new build today.

Keep it. I copied it out of cpupowerutils already.

Comment 5 Josh Boyer 2011-08-18 17:14:55 UTC
This build should do the right thing to replace cpupowerutils in rawhide.

I'll be doing a build with similar changes for f16 probably tomorrow.

Comment 6 Josh Boyer 2011-08-19 17:50:20 UTC
This should be fixed in today's rawhide.
