Description jrjohns 2002-09-09 00:33:12 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826

Description of problem:
I added a beta test system to the same RHN profile I use for my work system, and
was refused entitlement to upgrade packages!. In some previous betas, you used
a separate system for beta RNH registrations that was discontinued when the
public beta test ended. Making people have to go and change their entitlements
just so they can assist you with your public beta doesn't seem like a good way
to encourage participation.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Register BETA under account that already has 1 BASIC standard release
2.
3.

Actual Results: I was informed that I could not get an entitlement for my BETA
test.

Expected Results: The BETA test should use separate entitlements from
production systems.

Additional info:

Fortunately I know how to go to the website and change entitlements. I hope you
guys don't lock me out some day for switching entitlements around though. That
would be bad.

Beta product now use separate channel and separate channel family.
Closing as current release.
