Description of problem: I need to search for cases where multiple flags have been set. Specifically on the BRMS Product, for the flags jboss-brms-5.2.0+, AND technical_note? (the same problem occurs when I search against technical_note+, jboss-brms-5.2.0?, or jboss-brms-5.3.0?) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: consistently Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new search, select 'Jboss' from classification, 'JBoss Enterprise BRMS Platform 5' from product, click refresh. 2. Select all for status new - closed. 3. Under Advanced Searching select 'Flags', 'contains the string', and enter the flag text, i.e. jboss-brms-5.2.0+ 4. Click AND 5. Repeat step 3, select, 'Flags', 'contains the string', and enter technical_note? Actual results: The 'No results were found that matched your query.' page is displayed Expected results: A list of bugs with the flags should be displayed in the results. for example (all match the criteria): https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=736691 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724502 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724639 Additional info:
Bugzilla sometimes doesn't do what you intend it to do, despite you thinking you asked for the right thing. By using the AND button (step 4) you were actually asking Bugzilla for a single flag that contained the string 'technical_note?' and 'jboss-brms-5.2.0+', which obviously would return zero results. The correct solution is to use the 'Add another boolean chart' option in step 4. By doing this, you can search on two different flags for a bug. This should give you the result you desire. -- simon
