Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Corey Welton 2011-09-26 18:25:32 UTC
Description of problem:
Viewing a list of orgs in the main view displays them in one manner. Viewing same list of orgs when creating a new role lists them in a different manner.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create three new Orgs, "aaa", "bbb", "ccc"
2. Navigate away from the orgs view to dashboard, and back to Orgs, in order to sort them (different bug)
3. View sorting, with ACME_Corporation first, followed by your newly created orgs
4. Administration > Roles > New role "piffle" > Save
5. Roles view > "piffle" > Permissions
6. View sorting of Orgs in the role permissions view

Actual results:
aaa
ACME_Corporation
bbb
ccc

Expected results:
Probably should assure we're sorting Upper/Lower alphanumeric. Or at very least, assure org view is uniform across UI

commit - ef6154de9e526ca8b4eebf9df3ff7e9b0671c4a9

Updated the sort order on the Organizations -> List to be consistent with the order of organizations from the sort page.

Using the example above, the order would be
aaa, ACME_Corporation, bbb, ccc

bouncing this back to dev for consideration. note the forthcoming screenshot, in the roles creation view, we're still seeing the sorting as different than it is shown in the main Orgs view.
