Description Xixi 2011-10-03 18:09:45 UTC
Description of problem:
On https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/software/channel/downloads/Download.do?cid=10486 page the current listing is incorrect.

1) It's displaying RHEL versions in the wrong order. It says that RHEL 6.0 is the current release and RHEL 6.1 is located in the "Older Releases" section. Can you fix this so that RHEL 6.1 is displayed first and RHEL 6.0 is moved to the "Older Release" section?
2) The tg3 and ixgbe DUP (Driver update disk) files should be under 6.1, and the hpwdt should be under 6.0

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/software/channel/downloads/Download.do?cid=10486
2.
3.

Actual results:
1) It's displaying RHEL versions in the wrong order. It says that RHEL 6.0 is the current release and RHEL 6.1 is located in the "Older Releases" section.
2) The tg3 and ixgbe DUP (Driver update disk) files are under 6.1.

Expected results:
1) Display RHEL versions in the correct order. RHEL 6.1 should be displayed first and RHEL 6.0 under the "Older Release" section.
2) The tg3 and ixgbe DUP (Driver update disk) files should be under 6.1, and the hpwdt should be under 6.0.

Additional info:
Problem is not limited to one channel, more detailed listing to come.

Comment 2 Gary Case 2011-10-03 18:32:04 UTC
I've checked all the RHEL 6 RHN channels. Some have the proper ordering with respect to latest / older, and some don't. I don't know if the problem is just with the titles and the RHEL ISOs are correct, or if the titles AND the ISOs are incorrect. I do know that my DUP packages are in the wrong places on the channels where the naming is incorrect.

Verified Correct Naming
-----------------------
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (v. 6 for 32-bit x86)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (v. 6 for IBM POWER)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (v. 6 for IBM System z)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client (v. 6 for 32-bit x86)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Compute Node (v. 6 for x86_64)

Verified Incorrect Naming
-------------------------
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (v. 6 for 64-bit x86_64)
https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/software/channel/downloads/Download.do?cid=10486

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation (v. 6 for 32-bit x86)
https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/software/channel/downloads/Download.do?cid=10401

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation (v. 6 for x86_64)
https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/software/channel/downloads/Download.do?cid=10550

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client (v. 6 for 64-bit x86_64)
https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/software/channel/downloads/Download.do?cid=10454

Where the naming is incorrect, my DUP packages are also in the wrong place. The incorrect channels should match the correct ones, which look like this:

Latest Release
--------------
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.1 $VARIANT ($ARCH)
  Driver update disk (dd-tg3-3.119-$ARCH.iso)
  Driver update disk (dd-ixgbe-3.4.8_k-$ARCH.iso)
  Network Install and Recovery Disc
  Binary DVD

Older Releases
--------------
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 $VARIANT ($ARCH)
  Driver update disk (dd-hpwdt-1.2.0-$ARCH.iso)
  Network Install and Recovery Disc
  Binary DVD

The incorrect channels lump all the DUPs into 6.0 (and say 6.0 is the latest), instead of having hpwdt on 6.0 and tg3 and ixgbe on 6.1.

Comment 5 Grant Gainey 2011-10-03 18:57:47 UTC
Moving to RHN\Channels so RCM sees it

Comment 6 Chris Bredesen 2011-10-05 19:02:22 UTC
*** Bug 743686 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

Comment 7 Dennis Gregorovic 2011-10-05 20:02:21 UTC
The ordering on these channels has been fixed.

Comment 9 Sebastian Skracic 2012-02-10 12:37:51 UTC
It looks like the ordering is now fixed. Please reopen if that is not the case.
