Description of problem:

The contents of X windows are scrambled when windows are moved to the left. I found reported bugs of this kind of behaviour when running applications under VNC, but in this case the applications are run directly on the computer.

Ok, this is probably not a nouveau driver issue after all, because similar behaviour is reported in 

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=665836
