I've re-written the balancing algorithm for irqbalance so that it balances irqs based on the softirq and irq work that each cpu/cache/pacakge/numa node does based on /proc/stat output, rather than a guess based of irq volumes. It also improves affinity_hint handling, as well as just cleans up the code in general. It relies on a pending upstream patch: https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/10/6/275 Which adds sysfs files that allow us to correctly map msi irqs to the devices which allocate them. the new irqbalance should go into rawhide along with that kernel patch asap.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)
