Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xmonad-core-0.9.2-9.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. use xmonad session 2. preupgrade 3. log-in Actual results: Immediate log out Expected results: Xmonad running Additional info: Fixed with xmonad --recompile
This is my fault - since Fedora's xmonad uses dynlibs... Perhaps we could make xmonad-start detect when the versions change and force a recompile.
This should be fixed in xmonad-0.10-1.fc17, which should get be backported to F16 soon. In the end I decided to drop the dynamic linking patch since it still seems a bit too fragile for general use. I will try to work upsteam on getting ghc/cabal to build dynlibs by default instead - since that is really what is needed.
