Description of problem: In Fedora 16 Beta Release, on running vim in a terminal, a number of messages regarding perl support template (see additional info) gets displayed. The user can start using vim only after scrolling through all the messages. If gvim is ran from the terminal then the messages obviously gets displayed in the terminal and the graphical window of gvim is readily available for usage. Actual results: vim opens with a lot of messages regarding perl support template with the user having to scroll through it to start using it. I already noticed the problem myself and reported it upstream. I was half expecting a new release to come fairly soon, but I'll patch the current version and release an update later today.
