c++/50442 is a nasty regression for me, as it's causing a lot of my code to fail that used to work on less up-to-date F15 installs. It's new in gcc-4.6.1-9.fc15 and it's fixed in F16's 4.6.1-10.fc16. Please build 4.6.1-10 for F15.
I am not sure if it's the same bug, but I get this error with gcc-c++-4.6.1-9.fc15: *** glibc detected *** /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus: double free or corruption (out): 0x60e1bdb8 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib/libc.so.6[0x478912b5] /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus[0x8282683] /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus(toplev_main+0x8c9)[0x83fd0e9] /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus(main+0x1c)[0x80e2cfc] /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf3)[0x47839413] /usr/libexec/gcc/i686-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus[0x80f1c09] It compiles ok with gcc-c++-4.6.1-9.fc16.
Hi Nerijus Baliūnas , Can you add some notes about How to reproduce this issue? . Please update your gcc version and test the same.
IIRC I was compiling wxWidgets svn trunk (configure flags used --enable-debug --with-gtk --disable-utf8). But I already upgraded Fedora and it does not happen anymore.
Thank you for your replay....
I got this trying to build TOra (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tora/). I will attach the failing preprocessed source. *** glibc detected *** /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus: free(): invalid pointer: 0x0000001000064fc0 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib64/libc.so.6[0x3ab5476b56] /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus[0x64b988] /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus(toplev_main+0x8b7)[0x7b9e77] /lib64/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xed)[0x3ab542135d] /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus[0x4bfab9] ======= Memory map: ======== 00400000-00ef3000 r-xp 00000000 00:13 50665 /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus 010f3000-010fe000 rw-p 00af3000 00:13 50665 /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus 010fe000-0123a000 rw-p 00000000 00:00 0 014fd000-0152f000 rw-p 00afd000 00:13 50665 /usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.6.1/cc1plus ... /home/garry/src/tora-build/src/moc_toabout.cxx:70:1: internal compiler error: Aborted Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate.
