This has been reported upstream but hasn't been fixed. The attached patch fixes the problem.

YouTube fix patch
mediatomb-0.12.1-13.fc15 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 15.
mediatomb-0.12.1-13.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16.
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing mediatomb-0.12.1-13.fc16'
as soon as you are able to.

I've applied the patches you supplied, but it looks like there are comments on the bodhi update that indicate this is still broken. Could provide more detail as to what is actually failing (i.e. logfiles, test cases, etc?)
I'm currently out of town and won't be able to test this for at least another 10 days. I did however test this patch before uploading it and it worked perfectly.
I'll provide all the requested information once I get back home.
