Please see attachments for the test behavior in RHEL 6.1 and RHEL 6.2.

In the text files name "DL585G7_serial_output", a serial debugger was connected so that the crash output could be obtained.

RHEL 6.1 system crash 3 - serial output.

I’ve attempted the crash three times, and twice it failed to dump and reboot successfully. You’ll see in serial_output2 the data copy and reboot was successful. In serial_output3, it wasn’t.

RHEL 6.2 system crash - serial output.

Here it appears the crash, dump, and reboot were sucessful, but the test in the kit still failed. See RHEL 6.2 output log.

Hi Ryan, it looks like the debug kernel wasn't installed from the 6.2 output?

crash: /usr/lib/debug/lib/modules/2.6.32-202.el6.x86_64/vmlinux: No such file or directory

Comment 8 Rob Landry 2012-01-11 21:47:13 UTC
Hi Ryan, is this still an open issue?
