Description of problem: Yum loads comps.xml file rather than comps.xml.gz one, while both of them exists in repomd.xml. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): yum-3.4.3-5.fc16.noarch How reproducible: Happened now for both fedora and updates-testing repos Steps to Reproduce: 1. clean yum metadata 2. run yum update or something to force yum to download comps files Actual results: It starts downloading comps.xml rather than comps.xml.gz Expected results: It should select comps.xml.gz to save bandwidth
I'm not able to reproduce this. "group_gz" is supported since Feb 4, 2008. Can you provide more details, please? (e.g. repo url or the repomd.xml file)
