Description of problem: Airplane mode turns back on in a while after it was turned off. And when airplane mode is off, still cant turn on wifi on. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Lenovo E520 laptop How reproducible: After login, in network manager, airplane mode is already on. Turn off the airplane mode and close network manager. After opening it again, airplane mode is back on. Now, this time, after turning airplane mode off, turn on the wireless, but it turns right back off automatically (same thing happens when pressing the wifi button on the keyboard). Any solutions?
I have tried Fedora 16 - beta live version, same exact thing.
In other bug report I read to use rfkill, this is what it returns: # rfkill list 0: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no 1: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no For # rfkill unblock all Does not return anything, and when getting the rfkill list again, it returns the same thing as before.
I have found this same bug (I think its the same issue) at Bug 674353 - NetworkManager can't connect to wireless networks while acer_wmi module loaded *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 674353 ***
