Description of problem: Cannot download CAcert during firstboot run because ethernet network interface is not enabled Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 16 How reproducible: 100% on fresh install Steps to Reproduce: During the firstboot run you cannot download the CAcert because the network card is not enabled. Upon further investigation I noticed that the interface is missing information: BOOTPROTO="dhcp" <<<missing ONBOOT="no" <<<think it should be yes I tried it on 2 different machines and the interfaces were named ifcfg-em1 on machine 1 ifcfg-p5p1 on machine 2 Both machine had the same issue Actual results: inable to download Cacert from web server Expected results: able to download CAcert from webserver and configure LDAP authentication Additional info:
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
