Description of problem:
I have a new install of Fedora 16 on an x86_64 platform with two Nvidia Geforce 310 cards (the goal is to have three or four displays under X).  On boot, I get 
[    2.765825] NMI: PCI system error (SERR) for reason b1 on CPU 0.
[    2.765825] Dazed and confused, but trying to continue

and the second card stops working at that point. The NMI occurs while nouveau and drm are initializing. dmesg log attached.

I suspect that this is a simple user error, but cannot find any guidance.

My guess would be that the nouveau driver wrote something to the video card that it didn't look and the firmware crashed sending out an NMI and basically killing the card.

One thing to try is to see if the binary NVidia driver does the same thing.  Or check to see if there is new firmware for those NVidia video cards.

I don't think there is much you can do unless the nouveau guys want to help track down which pci command causes the NMI and figure out how to workaround it.
