Description of problem: The nsswitch.conf file in Fedora 16 now has an "initgroups" line which is not documented in the nsswitch.conf(5) man page. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): man-pages-3.32-14.fc16.noarch glibc-2.14.90-14.x86_64

I really don't know anything about this stuff, but this might get things started: initgroups Supplementary group access list, used by getgrouplist. In the example something like this initgroups: db files Is probably a reasonable default.
