Description Jan van Schuppen 2011-11-07 10:43:14 UTC
Created attachment 532004 [details]
update history, terminal output and backtrace

Description of problem:

1. I have updated o.a. from kernel-2.6.35.14-100.fc14.x86_64 to kernel-2.6.35.14-103.fc14.x86_64 and from python-slip-dbus-0.2.17-1.fc14.noarch to python-slip-dbus-0.2.18-1.fc14.noarch -- see attachment for full update history

2. I have restarted the computer

3. I have launched system-config-services, through menu and terminal -- see attachment for terminal output

4. ABRT reports crashes -- see attachment for backtrace

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

See attachment for the various version and release numbers

How reproducible:

Because i did not configure rollback on rpm and yum I cannot easily reproduce the error; only by newly installing the original version/release and following the update history

Steps to Reproduce:
1. newly install fedora with original installation disk
2. follow the updates as logged in the attachment
3. launched system-config-services

Actual results:

system-config-services crashes

Expected results:

normally working system-config-services

Additional info:

I have reported the bug automatically after the ABRT report; Bugzilla incorrectly responds that this bug already has been solved and links to bug 518455. Bug 518455 shows a different backtrace in a different package. However the backtrace of bug 751240 is quite similar to my situation but deals with Fedora16 in stead of my Fedora version 14.

Comment 1 Nils Philippsen 2011-11-08 11:06:08 UTC
This is because of a bug in a testing update (python-slip-0.2.19) which I've withdrawn meanwhile. Please downgrade to 0.2.18 or earlier.
