Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Eric Sammons 2011-11-08 18:19:41 UTC
Description of problem:
After applying a filter and then returning to the search (filter) input field and clearing the filter returns after clicking a user from the list.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
katello-headpin-0.1.100-1.git.138.54a3ea4.el6.noarch

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to Administration/Users
2. Enter some text to filter on in the search box.
3. Hit Enter or click the search icon to apply filter.
4. Note filter applied
5. Return to search box and clear it, double (or triple) click text and delete.
6. Hit enter or click search icon to apply filter.
7. Note that the filter is no longer applied.
8. Click a user from the USERNAME list
9. Note the filter re-appears and applies and selected user is not in the list nor are its attributes available to the right for editing.

Actual results:
filter re-appears and applies and selected user is not in the list nor are its attributes available to the right for editing.

Expected results:
Filter should not be applied, when search field is cleared, and attributes from selected user should be displayed to the right.

Additional info:

Comment 1 Eric Sammons 2011-11-08 18:21:46 UTC
Option to clear search field is available from drop down to left of search field; however, using this means to clear the field results in the same results. Filter is temporarily removed all users displayed and once a user is selected the filter re-appears and applies.

This commit should properly remove the search hash whenever the user clears the search input via the Clear Search link or manually deleting the input from the search input box.
