Description of problem: Attempting to create a new topic in Skynet discards topic metadata such as topic type, name, tags, etc. and displays the following error after redirecting to the topic search page: The Topic could not be saved. Please log out, log back in and try again. If the problem persists, please log a bug. I have only attempted this with tags related to EDG, for example a topic agged EDG 6, JBoss Enterprise Data Grid and Cache modes. (Topic Type: Concept, Tasks, References), assigned writer mhusnain. Setting this bug to high severity since being unable to add topics a month from beta is severely limiting productivity. Note: Dryan also commented about a similar problem, might be related. He had left for the weekend by the time I encountered it so it may be the same problem or unrelated.
Fixed in 20111113-0947 Envers and Hibernate both seem to have issues with option one-to-one relationships. Added TopicToTopicSecondOrderData table to handle the mapping.
That should read "optional one-to-one".
Attempting to create new topics, will comment here about whether this is resolved. Coincidentally, attempted to edit or view a topic from the topmost bar using the topic ID for several topics (including random topic IDs under 5200) and got variations on the below error: duplicate Id for a component topicViewAddedByField I paste this here because this may be related. If this is a new issue and unrelated, will create a new BZ for it.
Ruh-roh. Using the "Create a new topic" button results in the below error: duplicate Id for a component j_id51:topicViewAddedByField Sounds like this may be related to this BZ. :/
As of this morning, tested with editing and creating a new topic and they work fine. Thanks for the speedy fix, Matt!
