Description Matt Hirsch 2011-11-12 23:29:19 UTC
Description of problem: When I install
gnome-shell-extension-mediaplayers-0-0.1.git259f96e.fc16.noarch I get an error in lg->errors saying Extension "mediasplayers@ycdref" had error: extension is not compatible with current GNOME Shell and/or GJS version

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-shell-extension-mediaplayers-0-0.1.git259f96e.fc16.noarch
gnome-shell-3.2.1-2.fc16.x86_64
gjs-1.30.0-1.fc16.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install gnome-shell-extension-mediaplayers

Actual results:
Error in lg, extension does not show up in gnome-tweak-tool or lg->extensions

Expected results:
Extension works

Additional info:
This may be related to bugzilla 736432, although I am able to use most other shell extensions I've tried. I have the latest fedora 16 + updates, as of today.

I would say that this is a combination of both. Even with the version bump the extension still fails to load due to: missing 'init' function

Comment 2 Larry O'Leary 2011-11-21 02:55:51 UTC
This is hopefully covered by the upstream issue report https://github.com/Caccc/Gnome-shell-extension-Mediasplayers/issues/10
