Created attachment 533388 [details] Rpm spec file for pdfchain-0.3.2 Current packaged version of pdfchain does not support file names encoded in utf-8 and also it is based on gtk2. Last stable version of pdfchain is 0.3.2 and supports utf-8 file names and is based on gtk3 (gtkmm30). I made a patch for a slightly new pdfchain.desktop in pdfchain-0.3.2 and rpm spec file to compile the package. Look at the attachments. The pdfchain's author changed version scheme -- 0.3.2 is the newest version and 0.123 is the old one. But yum thinks that 0.123 is newer than 0.3.2. I don't know how to circumvent this in the spec file. :(

Thanks for the info. No wonder upstream monitoring hadn't warned me about the new versions, if the naming scheme had been broken by upstream.
