Description of problem: Firetray addon for thunderbird is disabled Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): thunderbird-7.0.1-1.fc16.x86_64 mozilla-firetray-thunderbird-0.3.1-1.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: Every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install thunderbird and mozilla-firetray-thunderbird 2. Run thunderbird 3. Actual results: Thunderbird reports firetray is incompatible and disables it. Expected results: Firetray addon is activated. Additional info: Expecting Firefox and Thunderbird anytime soon. Not sure what firetray version is needed for them.
Additional info should, of course read: Expecting Firefox and Thunderbird 8 anytime soon.
The issue may be version related. I removed the mozilla-firetray-thunderbird-0.3.1-1.fc16.x86_64 rpm and installed the extension via Thunderbird's add-on manager. The add-on manager installed FireTray 0.3.3. This version is functioning as expected.
Definitely version related. Indeed 0.3.3 is ok for thunderbird 7 as documented in the version information section here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/firetray/ But, the new 0.4 development branch is needed for thunderbird 8 which is already released and in updates-testing for F16. I have that installed through the thunderbird add-on manager. I think that branch is a re-write and currently less functional than the 0.3 branch, although it does all that I need it to.
The Thunderbird 8 is already in the stable repositories and 0.3.3 version is not compatible... Firetray keeps lagging behind thunderbird releases, is there any way to add it to the required version checks when thunderbird is updated?

New Thunderbird update... new rebuild is needed because it stops to work.
I am working on it, thank you for reporting it.
There isn't any way to automatically bump the package to rebuild when thunderbird gets updated? I mean in the build system.
I will try that way. Problem it is always broken with new geckos, so it needs patching ( most of the time )

Right now I'm using this alternate version: https://github.com/foudfou/FireTray which is not compiled. There's still a minor catch because it don't restore the full window, but after that it could be evaluated the migration or drop this package (I'm just suggesting...)

When firetray 0.4 will go stable, I will drop this package.
