When I boot Fedora 16 i686 Live desktop CD it shows background wallpaper at the end and nothing more. It freezes. I cannot install it or do anything else.
What kind of hardware is this? Does the install media (not the livecd) boot and work? If you remove 'rhgb quiet' from the kernel command line, do you see any additional traces?

Attaching lshw output... I suspect the reason is my graphics: Radeon HD 4350 (Rv710) I will try remove 'rhgb quiet' soon...
while removing 'rhgb' and 'quiet' resulted in the same state, I found out the real problem: system is not frozen, only gnome-shell panel is displayed on the second display (hdmi) which was off i that time. While this can be considered a bug it is not this one, so I am closing this one.
