djview4 sources contain plug-in for NPAPI compatible browsers (e.g. Firefox). Current build in F16 does not contains it. Please build NPAPI plug-in when building djview4. I think a sub-package would be most appropriate for it.
Thanks for your report.
Do know the status of this plugin? I did a build, however did not seem to work at all with firefox. koji scratch build available for testing here: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=3546094
I use it in i686 Gentoo. I remember seeing some crashes on x86_64, but upstream could not reproduce it. I will try it in Fedora. If I recall correctly, sources contains two implementations. One is old Netscape API, other is new NPAPI. As xulrunner has changed, the old one stopped to work, whereas the new one started. If you provided spec file, I could try to tune it.
Ok, great, srpm (with spec) is available in koji: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=3546095&name=djview4-4.8-3.fc17.src.rpm
I recompiled it for F16, installed it, the plug-in appeared in Firefox about:plugins page, after accessing any DjVu file on the web I get this message on stderr: djview: QDjViewPlugin::exec() begin nsdejavu: using the XEmbed protocol. and then the page displayed and It worked very well (printing `djview: paintEvent' messages to stderr on redraw). I'm testing it on x86_64 F16 with enabled updates-testing repository. So everything is O.k. from my point of view.
Ok, I will push a update then, thanks for help so far!

Something is wrong with the official build from Koji (djview4-plugin-4.8-3.fc16.x86_64). The plug-in or the viewer terminates with following error message: djview: QDjViewPlugin::exec() begin nsdejavu: using the Xt protocol. Error: Couldn't find per display information djview: QDjViewPlugin::exec() end code=0 WARNING: waitpid failed pid:3021 errno:10: file /builddir/build/BUILD/xulrunner-8.0/mozilla-release/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc, line 237 WARNING: waitpid failed pid:3021 errno:10: file /builddir/build/BUILD/xulrunner-8.0/mozilla-release/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc, line 237 WARNING: Failed to deliver SIGKILL to 3021!(3).: file /builddir/build/BUILD/xulrunner-8.0/mozilla-release/ipc/chromium/src/chrome/common/process_watcher_posix_sigchld.cc, line 162 The big difference against my local build I tested yesterday is the protocol. It should use XEmbed, but it crashes within Xt which does not work properly with recent Firefox.
Better luck with the -4 build? https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2011-16556/djview4-4.8-4.fc16
No, this has the same Xt problem. I think the --enable-npdjvu is the correct option, but for not yet known reason the build in Koji produces the NS plugins (using Xt) instead of NP (which uses XEmbed and is the reason why NP works) as local build.
