Description Hedayat Vatankhah 2011-11-26 19:51:43 UTC
Description of problem:
When I use an English to Persian dictionary with goldendict, the translation string doesn't appear correctly. All letters are displayed separated while many of them should be joined together (Persian is written in Arabic script). I'm not sure but I think it worked fine in previous Fedora releases.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
goldendict-1.0.1-4.fc16.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Comment 1 Howard Ning 2011-11-27 23:04:41 UTC
Can you display the text correctly in any other QT applications? It is most likely some font configuration change in QT.

I just remembered that I had a similar problem in Amarok's internal browser. Since (AFAIK) GoldenDict is also using an integrated browser for showing text, this is probably a bug in that widget. For example, GoldenDict's Lookup text entry shows Arabic text correctly.

Works fine in Fedora 18.
