Description Henry Pfeil 2011-11-28 15:07:31 UTC
Description of problem:
Appendix C.3. X Server Configuration Files

Last paragraph of first section refers to HAL, multiple instances.
exempli gratia
"...information gathered about the system hardware during the installation process by the HAL..."
"...it asks HAL for the list of input devices"
"...HAL notifies the X server about the change."

Might mention that most folks won't need any conf files in xorg.conf.d and that xorg.conf is deprecated.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 16

Thank you very much for taking the time to report this error, I'll try to fix this as soon as possible.

Comment 2 Stephen Wadeley 2016-03-14 22:23:50 UTC
Hello

There is no mention of HAL in the current, F23, guide.

This appendix was removed as part of the reduction in reference material (In order to focus on quality of procedures, reference material was reduced and removed as it is considered something best left to man pages).

Thank you
