None of the distros work as claimed.
That's gnome-shell and has absolutely nothing to do with kde-i18n. Reassigning. That said, I suspect that this is a graphics driver bug, so what graphics driver are you using? If you don't know: * Did you install any third-party graphics driver? * If not, what graphics card/IGP are you using (so that we can identify the default driver you're likely using)?
The bug report said to guess at what component was the issue if you didn't know- so I guessed KDE was the issue since that's what window system I selected when the live CD installed. If it did not install KDE, then that is also a bug since text was missing in the liveCD install as well. I used the graphics drivers that were downloaded during the install. -
You cannot install the KDE workspace from the "Desktop" (GNOME) live CD, you have to use the KDE live CD. And you haven't answered this question: What graphics card/IGP are you using (so that we can identify the default driver you're likely using)? Oops- sorry about the repost. It appears someone mislabeled the installation disc- it says KDE but GNOME was installed. My apologies- the bug is the same as the one you listed. Thank you for the help, sorry for the error.
FYI, if you reinstall from the actual KDE live CD, that shouldn't have this issue, because KDE Plasma Desktop defaults to not using OpenGL in Fedora 16. Xfce and LXDE should also not be affected. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 745202 ***
