Description David Botzer 2011-12-07 13:52:48 UTC
Description of problem:
I would like to know where my system is going, or a specific entity.

To be able to predict some of the future behaviour from the history data
Using Prediction intervals.
**Prediction intervals are often used in regression analysis.

e.x - A report from Trends - 5 most utilize VMs for period range
Should show what will be the futuristic behaviour
e.x - A report from Inventory - Storage Domain size over time
Should show how will my storage domain will look like

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
IC151.1, reports 3.0.1-7

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select an option of filter, that displays a Predictive analysis for the report
in terms of system growth, Entity utilization, Storage capacity etc.

Actual results:
No option to see how would a specific report will look like in the near future

Expected results:
Some degree of Predictive analysis for couple of reports types

Additional info:
There is an option to calculate the Predictive analysis by intervals -
Day, Month, Quarter
**Prediction intervals are often used in regression analysis.

(In reply to Yaniv Lavi from comment #2)
> still relevant

Let's reopen when we have more concrete content (agree it's relevant, just unsure what the requirements are)
