Version 0.12.0 is braking tokeninfo which results in alot of 
cards does not work with this specific version, this problem was 
introduced between version 0.11.13 and 0.12.0 and a fix showed
up right after the release of 0.12.0 and is available in 0.12.1

Package opensc-0.12.2-2.el5:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=epel-testing opensc-0.12.2-2.el5'
as soon as you are able to.
