Description of problem: The dialog that allows to submit VM jobs does not mention that the default (hard-coded) virtualization technology is KVM. In order to submit Xen jobs, few parameters needs to be inserted/overridden by hand. I suggest : - to introduce a new combobox to allow user to choose between supported virtualization technology (right now Xen and KVM) - or at least document in the dialog that the default virtualization technology is KVM. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): cumin-0.1.5098-2
Fixed on revision 5253 of trunk.
Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: Consequence: The submission of a VM job can be confusing if one is not aware that the default VM job type is KVM. Additional parameters are required for VM jobs of other types. Cause: There is no indicator that KVM is the default VM job type anywhere in cumin. Fix: The VM job submission form now includes a note indicating that the default VM job type is KVM. Result: VM job submission should be less confusing.
Reproduced on cumin-0.1.5192-4 Tested on RHEL 5/6 i386/x86_64 cumin-0.1.5675-1 Everything is as expected, the VM job submission form includes the note. --> VERIFIED
