Consequence: The submission of a VM job can be confusing if one is not aware that the default VM job type is KVM. Additional parameters are required for VM jobs of other types. Cause: There is no indicator that KVM is the default VM job type anywhere in cumin. Fix: The VM job submission form now includes a note indicating that the default VM job type is KVM. Result: VM job submission should be less confusing.

Description Luigi Toscano 2011-12-09 16:19:55 UTC
Description of problem:
The dialog that allows to submit VM jobs does not mention that the default (hard-coded) virtualization technology is KVM. In order to submit Xen jobs, few parameters needs to be inserted/overridden by hand.

I suggest :
- to introduce a new combobox to allow user to choose between supported virtualization technology (right now Xen and KVM)
- or at least document in the dialog that the default virtualization technology is KVM.
