Latest upstream release: 2.10.1 Current version in Fedora Rawhide: 2.10.0 URL: http://www.pidgin.im/download/source/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring
The main web page of Pidgin claims: Pidgin 2.10.1 contains a few security updates. Please upgrade! The changelog mentions CVE-2011-3594. In fact, this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2011-3594 Claims that F-14 and F-15 versions of Pidgin are affected, which I'm guessing would affect then F-16 and Rawhide too. Could we get a new build soonish?
Ping... Can anyone comment why this version is not a required security update for Fedora?
