Description of problem: If I boot my Dell Inspiron Duo without the power cord plugged in, I can plug and unplug it with no issues. However, if I boot with it plugged in, and remove it at any time after it has booted, the entire computer crashes, along with some readable and some garbled kernel messages. I'm new to linux, and haven't found where a crash log for this is stored. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: very reproducable Steps to Reproduce: 1. plug in power cord 2. boot into fedora 16 3. unplug power cord Actual results: System crashes Expected results: No crash Additional info: I would like to refrain from purposely doing this to protect my hardware, but if there is valuable code or logs that need to be obtained to fix this, I'd be happy to help.
If you can get a screen capture (or photo) of the kernel messages that you get, that could help.
