The GDAL spec file does not take care of changes in Perl at the moment, which must be corrected. I can't rebuild GDAL at the moment, see "depends on". I'll rebuild as soon as this is resolved. In the meantime you can try the various gdal-1.7.3-10.1 packages from http://www.geofrogger.net/review/
