Description Gene Czarcinski 2002-11-08 19:30:12 UTC
Description of Problem:
The package XFree86-tyuetype-fonts installs its fonts into
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/. However, this directory is not listed as one of
the directories in /etc/fonts/fonts.conf and therefore is ignored.

This is intentional. The fonts that Red Hat installs in that directory
are installed in postscript form /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/
and the Type1 forms render bettter.

All local or user installed fonts should go in /usr/share/fonts or ~/.fonts/
