Date of First Response: 2008-09-26 04:01:50 project_key: SOA Section 1.8.1 Installing and configuring OpenSSO in Tomcat - should explain why this is necessary/interesting. It is provides the steps to perform the task but doesn't really indicate why this is important to the typical SOA Platform deployment environment.
This is due to the issue that we reported at: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/SOA-731. so we will have opensso deployed in the tomcat in soa-p 4.3 release. does it make sense we add this explanation in the documentation? if it is, I can update it and then ask Darrin to help me updated in the doc book.
Yes, please do so.
Hi Darrin, Could you please help me do following update in the 'Administration Guide' book?? --- Original text in the Administration Guide book 1.8.1 :Install and configure OpenSSO in Tomcat "Install and configure OpenSSO:" Add following content in front of "Install and configure OpenSSO". ================================================= "At this moment, there is an known issue in deploying OpenSSO into soa-p, which is tracked under https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/SOA-731. So here we provide a step-to-step guide for deploying into tomcat for your reference, you are also able to deploy OpenSSO into other containers, which are listed in the opensso website." ==================================================
I've updated that section: * added brief intro paragraph * moved "install in Tomcat" section to top & added explanatory text * misc cleanups & improvements in presentation
