Workaround Description: Wait for some time before trying to shutdown the server.
project_key: SOA

Testing windows SOA-P bootstrapping scripts I see that embedded server need some time after server has started to accept the shutdown command I issue. Standalone server is not affected.

#This doesn't work
1. run.bat <optiuons>
2. wait for server to output " Started in "
3. shutdown.bat -S <options>

#This works
1. run.bat <optiuons>
2. wait for server to output " Started in "
3. sleep 60
4. shutdown.bat -S <options>

Comment 3 nwallace 2008-09-25 20:19:02 UTC
Can we have confirmation that fixes are in place for 4.2CP03.

Comment 4 Julian Coleman 2008-11-17 17:27:10 UTC
This no longer occurs with 4.2.0 CP03.

Comment 5 Dana Mison 2008-11-25 05:55:14 UTC
For the release notes I don't understand the change that has occurred here to fix this. Can someone clarify

Comment 6 Martin Vecera 2008-12-17 10:22:05 UTC
If there was a note that the user must wait some time before requesting the server shutdown, it should be removed. Otherwise, I'd suggest not to touch the release notes.
