project_key: SOA

quote from Tom Baeyenes:

What we need is an automated installation to install the identity component in SOA-P That automated installation should cover at least cover proper configuration of the identity component to oracle, mysql, hsqldb and postgresql. Also we'll need automatic way of generating or obtaining the DDL scripts to create and drop the DB tables.

Comment 3 Jiri Pechanec 2010-01-05 13:52:51 UTC
I do not see any integration between jBPM and JBoss identity in ER6

Comment 4 Kevin Conner 2010-01-05 13:58:58 UTC
What do you expect to see apart from JAAS integration??

Comment 5 Jiri Pechanec 2010-01-05 14:18:41 UTC
It seems that the purpose of this issue is blurred. What exactly means identity component in SOA-P?

Just support for JAAS? Integration between jBPM and PicketLink IDM? I suggest splitting the issue into two or more so we can track what is done and what is not

<jpechane> kconner, The subject says SOA-P but description is talking about jBPM and there is a link to unresloved jBPM issue
<jpechane> kconner, So my feeling was that the issue was about jBPM using Identity (probably IDM component)
<kconner> jpechane: Okay, so was it a mistake to assign it to me?
<kconner> jpechane: Identity should just be another JAAS module, not sure what else would need to be done for jBPM
<jpechane> kconner, No it was intentional to generate an interest :-) I am really not sure about what the issue is
<kconner> jpechane: lol, that makes two of us in that case
<jpechane> kconner, Maybe the issue has to be split in two - integration with JAAS which is there and integration with jBPM which is not. IMHO the description is talking about replacing jBPM Idenity componenet with picktelink's IDM
<kconner> jpechane: Then I am definitely the wrong assignee :)
<tkirby> jpechane, or ask jeff what his intention was when he raised it
<jpechane> kconner, I'll comment on the issue in this way and will assign it back to Jeff
<kconner> jpechane: Okay, thanks

Comment 6 Jeff Yu 2010-01-05 14:58:46 UTC
I think this task is not valid any more since we don't have jBPM4 in our SOA platform.
The intention of this task is to implement jBPM4's Identity SPI by using IDM project. In other words, use IDM as the jBPM4's identity provider.

I think I will close it as invalid request.

Comment 7 Jeff Yu 2010-01-05 14:59:42 UTC
We don't have jBPM4 in SOA5.

Comment 8 Jeff Yu 2010-01-05 15:02:22 UTC
The installtion for IDM component was primarily for jBPM4.
